A Day Trip to Pickering and Helmsley

Yesterday we took a trip out to Pickering and were just in time to see the 3 o`clock train arrive in regal fashion.  Fantastic to see the old carriages and imagine just who would be travelling in years gone by.

Went further to the beautiful historic market town of Helmsley and was just in awe of the beautiful window boxes and floral displays around the town (I am such a lover of floristry and appreciate any kind of floral art) - also get lots of ideas for my own garden.  Had a peek into some of the lovely antique shops and also the charity shops where I found a lovely little period dish for my breakfast fare back at Tall Storeys!

Hunters of Helmsley Delicatessen - amazing hanging baskets!
