Santa Comes to Scarborough

HO HO HO! Saturday saw the arrival by boat of Santa and his little helpers!  Spectacular scene in the sunshine as he arrived in the harbour watched by thousands of excited children and spectators.

Father Christmas has been making his annual pilgrimage to Boyes for 100 years.

Fantastic live music accompanied his arrival – all the `elf` singers could easily have been candidates for the X-factor – they were accompanied by fabulous musicians.  The atmosphere was terrific even though there was no snow or freezing temperatures to add to the scene.  Not that I am wishing for snow, but it was more like a summers day than the lead up to Xmas!

Santa can be found in his Grotto in Boyes store from now until Xmas Eve.
